The Last Name (Eric’s Story)

  1. I have friends who considered doing this when they got married nearly thirty years ago. Ultimately they decided against it because of the many hurdles and opposition from both of their families. It’s great to hear you went ahead and did as you both wanted. It’s so true; there should be equal standing for women and men, and just as easy for a husband to take his wife’s name as her to take his, but we still have a long way to go before women are truly considered on a truly equal footing.
